Matilda Strand grew up in Stockholm, Sweden. After graduating from Stockholm Musical Education she has appeared in various film and TV productions. Since 2019 she is teaching drama for children, adults and for groups in need of special support.
During the summer 2021 is Matilda writing a stage performance for Filmstaden Kultur in Råsunda. Musical comedy, taking place during a day in 1924 when the director Mauritz Stiller is casting the film "The saga of Gösta Berling". The film is based on the Swedish Nobel Prize-winning author
Selma Lagerlöfs 1891 debut novel Gösta Berlings saga. In the performance Matilda is also appearing as an actress.
She is one of the actors and creators of a work-in-progress presentation of artistic research:
"Sabina's faces", a work that will be presented at the worlds first international conference in the name of Sabina Spielrein, the female pioneer of psychoanalysis in Warsaw 2022.
